THE NORTHERN BITTING COMPANY

ABOUT US
Welcome to the Northern Bitting Company’s website. We hope you find it useful and informative.
We are Lantra Certified and Neue Schule Academy qualified independent Bit and Bridle Fitting Specialists. We’re here to help you and your horse communicate better and reach your goals.
This site is designed to give you information on us,
Why you should use a bit and bridle fitter,
How to book with us,
How much it costs.
We am immensely proud of our association with Neue Schule, but we are totally independent and our main aim is to find the bit and bridle that do the job best for you and your horse. Heather, the owner of NS, positively promotes this, which is why we like NS, because it’s for the horse and what’s best for him. So we also stock and recommend other brands.
We’re not a hard sell company, we have a forever expanding collection of demo bits to find the right one for you and if we can supply you with anything you need, then that’s great, but we understand the economics of horses and the logic of sourcing second hand or grabbing a bargain - even better when your friend has the one you need and they don’t use it anymore!
When it comes to consultations, we can come to you, from one to one to full day clinics, or you can come to us. We are based just north of Wetherby, with easy access just off the A1. We have a 60x30 outdoor carpet fibre surface for you to enjoy and we can rustle up a brew and biscuits in a jiffy.
We are happy to help people and horses from all disciplines, so whether it’s starting a youngster off right or moving up into the double for dressage, to getting more communication jumping or cross country we’ll work with you and your horse to find the right approach for you. If you’re keen to get going and have a consultation, please contact us and fill in our questionnaire and we can get a date in the dairy. Filling in the questionnaire is so useful for us as it gives us a great place to start when we meet. We’ve already got ideas about how to move forwards. Get in touch to book for you or a group, at your place or ours.
When people say "it's just a horse" they just don't understand...
